Medical Assistant
Diploma

If you are interested in becoming a part of the medical industry, this could be your opportunity. Our Medical Assistant Diploma program provides in-depth training in medical terminology, medical law and ethics, phlebotomy techniques, pharmacology, vital signs, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The program also offers specific training in electrocardiographs, universal precautions, emergency first aid, and application of aseptic technique and infection control.

By earning a diploma from our medical assistant program, you can seek entry-level employment in doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals, or other medical facilities. You can choose to specialize in front or back office duties or diversify your responsibilities and do both.

Prior to graduation, you are required to complete an externship program at a local outpatient clinic, medical office, or hospital. In addition, this program is designed to help you prepare for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam sponsored by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).*

* However, the School cannot guarantee a student's eligibility either to take this exam or become certified. A student's eligibility may depend on his or her work experience, completion of high school (or its equivalent), not having a criminal record, meeting other licensure or certification requirements, or the program or School itself having appropriate accreditation or licensure. Externship sites may themselves require a criminal background check or medical examination.
