Texas Careers in San Antonio, Texas was founded in November 1989 as Modencare, Inc., and taught the certified nurse aide program. Texas Careers was originally organized to provide education in medically related careers. Through the years, the school expanded its health care program offerings and added other fields of study.
Texas Careers opened branch campuses in Laredo in April 1999, Beaumont in October 2000, and Lubbock in October 2003.
